Baia Sardinia

Baia Sardinia (also: Baja Sardinia) is located on the north coast of Sardinia. The small resort is located on the shore of a beautiful bay and is ideal for a beach holiday, snorkeling, for a diving holiday or beach holiday. A shallow beach, a beautifully landscaped waterfront and hotels, apartments and holiday homes as well as a campsite ensure sufficient accommodation. Off the peak season there is not much going on and the restaurants, bars and shops are closed. The village has little to do with the authentic and lively Sardinia, almost only tourists find their way here. But a a little paradise is waiting: A gently sloping sandy beach, a magnificent view and everything you need to live. You can reach Baia Sardinia via the port or Olbia airport in about 40 minutes by car. If you want to fly in via Cagliari, you it takes about 3.5 hours to get to Baja Sardinia. The village is surrounded by the beaches of the region and the landscape of Gallura in northern Sardinia. Baia Sardinia is a good starting point for many excursions and there is even a bus stop.

Baia Sardinia - The village
If you book a hotel or apartment in Baia Sardinia, you can hope for sea views. Because: The accommodations in the village were built on a slope around the beautiful bay. The village is fully equipped for the needs of holiday guests: A small beach promenade along the blue water is a wonderful place to spend some relaxing days. Various restaurants, bars, and shops are also located directly at the sea front.
The bay makes dreams of the blue sea come true. Very soft and flat, the beautiful sandy beach drops off here. Hence the place is very suitable for a family holiday with small children. Stand-up paddling, diving (there is a diving center or diving school in Baia Sardinia), boat tours - for example from the beautiful Palau to La Maddalena - hiking in the nearby Monti Limbara, swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing - this is just some of the many possibilities that offer themselves here.
Beaches and surroundings
Baia Sardinia itself has a fantastic beach. All around the area is bordered by other beaches: Spiaggia (beach) del Grande Pevero, Spiaggia del Piccolo Pevero, Spiaggia Barca Bruciata - these are just a few of the beaches nearby.
The entire coast here is characterized by the rocky landscape of northern Sardinia, which also has generous meadows and hills. Excursions are available to Palau. From Palau, boats and ferries leave for the archipelago of La Maddalena. The mountain Monte Moro is located nearby and is rather little known. A tour is worth it: From here you can overlook the coastal region and especially the archipelago La Maddalenda. Mountain and hiking fans can also make their way to Monti Limbara. They will find a relatively large hiking area. More information can be found in the article about the mountains of Sardinia.
For families with children, a day at Grecoland near Porto Cervo is a good choice. The Capo d'Orso near Palau is also a popular destination in the region. Furthermore, the Nuraghe Prisciona is worth a visit, if one puts on cultural achievements of the last millennia value. Read more about this in the article about excavations and historical places in Sardinia. Porto Torres and Stintino are also worth a day trip. Santa Teresa Gallura and the Capo Testa as well as Golfo Aranci or Olbia are also easily reached by car from Baia Sardinia.
Infrastructure
Last but not least: The area is well prepared for tourists from around the world. In the village there are all the facilities that are needed: Restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, pharmacy, supermarket or souvenirs. If you want to discover the real Sardinia, you can go on excursions from Baia Sardinia. Linguistically, a stay in Baia Sardinia shouldn't cause too many problems. The italians working here do speak English.
